appears regularly on the major stages in the United States, Japan, Great Britain and the former Soviet states. Ms. Hayami's recent orchestral engagements have included the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, the Tokyo Symphony and the Crimea State Philharmonia. Her recent chamber music appearances included a joint recital with violinist Cho-Laing Lin, the Manhattan String Quartet and performances with Stanley and Naomi Drucker on Art's Alive (South Carolina-Televised on P.B.S.). She has appeared with the New York Philharmonic Ensemble at Merkin Hall as well as performing the world premiere of Robert Stars' Piano Quintet. Kazuko Hayami was selected to be one of "Critic's Choice" of 1992 and 1997 by the "ONGAKU no TOMO" (a prominent Japanese music magazine). For seven seasons she was presented in recital in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and in Merkin Hall under the auspices of Artists International and is a frequent guest on such series as Music in the Mountains (NY), the Inter-America Festival (Washington, DC), the Rhinebeck Chamber Music Society (NY), the Arcady Music Festival (Maine), Birmingham City States (AL) and Armstrong Chamber Concerts (CT). She has recorded Meyer Kupferman's "Moors Concerto" with the Moscow Symphony on the Soundspells label and is heard with Stanley Drucker on a CD recording (part of "New York Legends" series).
